Key Tips for Success: For winter bloom, bulbs may be potted from early October on. Plant them ¾ inch deep and scatter bone meal over the soil. The bulbs need darkness and the soil temperature must be below 55 F when you feel the flower-bud, the pots may be brought into the light. They may grow to 18 tall. After blooming, remove yellowed foliage and store the dry bulb in a paper bag. Plant outside in fall. A bulb that has been forced cannot be forced again. |
